Okay it’s time to look back on how my cycling went in March!

Unfortunately due to business travel and some other priorities I wasn’t able to get out as often as I’d planned, despite being a longer month I covered less distance than in February.

In March I completed 5 rides totalling 87 miles, with my longest ride being 32 miles.

I was pleased to be able to increase the longest ride to 30 miles as planned, even if I didn’t get out as much as I wanted. The cover photo was taken in Lochshore Park in Kilbirnie, North Ayrshire. My friend Kris joined me for two of the cycles, his training for the century ride is going well too!

I shared my progress with ChatGPT for feedback against the initial plan and it has made some recommendations for April. I’ll be focussing on completing 3 cycles a week with 2 of them being 10 to 15 miles then increasing the 3rd cycle from 30 miles to 40 miles by the end of the month. ChatGPT has also suggested that I remember a snack to fuel on rides that exceed 90 minutes in duration.

Another benefit for April is that the days are getting longer, I’ll be able to get some cycles in at the end of my working day!

All rides are uploaded to my Strava account.
